Arduino hackers, hobbyists and developers that are looking for a
smaller less expensive Arduino Leonardo compatible development board,
might be interested in the Lil’ Nardo.
The Lil’ Nardo is an open source board equipped with a ATmega32u4 microcontroller and operates via a 5V power supply, with 32 KB (ATmega32u4) of which 4 KB used by bootloader. Learn more in the video after the jump.

Other features include SRAM: 2.5 KB (ATmega32u4), EEPROM: 1 KB (ATmega32u4) and Clock Speed: 16 MHz explains Myownduino its creators, who also explain a little more about the boards development.
“We loved the ease of use of USB for the Arduino Leonardo. What
we have created is a board that can provide that same functionality in a
smaller package at a price point that allows you to leave your board in
your project. “
All you need to program the Lil’ Nardo is a USB cable. It
programs exactly as you would a Leonardo. The Lil’ Nardo doesn’t require
a special programing board to upload your sketch. We have
build a special adapter board to make the Lil’ Nardo compatible with
full size shields. This adapter adapts the LIl’ Nardo to the Arduino
shield, version R3. If your shield works on a standard Arduino Leonardo
then it will work with the Lil’ Nardo and the adapter. ”
The Lil Nardo project is currently over on the Kickstarter crowd
funding website looking to raise enough pledges to make the jump from
concept to production. So if you think Lil Nardo is something you could
benefit from, visit the Kickstarter website now to make a pledge and help Lil Nardo become a reality.
